<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">Is there an option to have a "segid"
automatically generated? (For example, in CNS generate.inp, it was
possible to "convert chainid to segid if chainid is non-blank").

<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">Unless I strip out the segid completely,
I am running into problems when I add residues using Coot (which adds chainid,
but not segid) and then follow up with refinement in Phenix. </font>
