I'm not sure you are soliciting bugs on the nightly builds, but I thought I'd mention these. Please let me know if you don't need/want them.
Please send them, unless you're using an outdated version (for the nightly builds, anything more than a week old can be considered outdated). However, you should normally use the address [email protected] for this - it's just an alias, you don't need to subscribe to anything.
I downloaded and installed the 1.4-37 nightly builds. The installations went fine for linux and OS X PPC/x86. There are some absolute symlinks in the installation that don't work: . . .
The symlink in PyMOL is Warren's fault - the others are ours, but they won't cause problems while running PHENIX, since none of those commands are used once building from source is finished (we use 'python', not 'python2.6'). I will see if I can figure out an easy way to clean them up all at once (does anyone know how to determine the path of a file based on a symlink to it, in a Bash script?).
Since the nightly builds don't build the ext_ref_files, should I just symlink them to the ones in the 1.4-3 release?
The ext_ref_files directory has been replaced by chem_data - as long as that's there, you're okay. -Nat ------------------- Nathaniel Echols Lawrence Berkeley Lab 510-486-5136 [email protected]
