Is it possible to transfer Phenix along with it's archive to a new computer? I have a fresh install of Phenix on the new machine and a copy of all the original files and folders from the old machine but cant figure how to point Phenix to the correct place.
If the paths are the same (i.e. /Users/colin/data/my_protein exists on both computers), all you need to do is copy ~/.phenix from the old computer to the new computer. This is what I do with my rapidly accumulating Mac collection. If the paths are different, for instance if you're moving them from a laptop to a workstation with NFS drives, you want to use "Import project" from the Projects menu in the main GUI, and point it to the directory containing the project you want to import. It should then load the old job history and update the stored paths (most of them, anyway). It's an imperfect solution (there are some flaws I need to solve), but it should allow you to reload most saved results and parameter files. -Nat
