Well, in fact, B-DNA built with coot is slighlty C2*-endo and markedly C3*-exo. In comparison a B-DNA built with X3DNA is markedly C2*-endo. See the attached figures. I agree with Maia that this is what I would have expected. Perhaps Paul can tell us where does coot take the "ideal" values from?

Hi all,
does anybody know why coot and sybil (and may be others that I don't know about) generate an ideal dna with C3*-exo puckers instead of C2*-endo, as text books say.
