install problem on Ubuntu 12.10
Dear all: When I wanted to install phenix on my computer with ubuntu 12.10 (./install), the error message showed that "/usr/local/phenix-installer-1.8.2-1309/bin/install-from-binary:130:export:6 core : bad variable name. I am a newbie of phenix. Could anyone give me some suggestion? Thank you Hong-Hsiang

The output of this command is as below 2 lines.
6core root@#nsfh611
This means that you have a newline character in your hostname, which I didn't think was possible. I still don't understand how you're getting that specific error message, but the installer is almost certainly not going to work correctly with a hostname like this. -Nat
Dear Nat:
I fixed the problem while removing the hostname. The
installer did not work with this hostname, 6core.
Thank you for your help very
much
