on importing CIF structure factors and cutting out density
Dear All, By importing CIF structure factors of the Phenix graphical interface, I converted a CIF file to a mtz file. But when I tried to cutting out the density by Phenix with the converted mtz file, it request the map labels, which the converted mtz file seems does not have. Will you please let me know how to have the issue settles? Smith
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Dear Smith, you probably mean 'mmCIF' rather than CIF. Both formats are plain text files with human readable descriptions of their content. Take a look at your (mm)CIF file and you should be able to figure out whether it contains the information required for the generation of an electron density map.
