proteins sequence for phenix
Dear All, Phenix will ask for the protein sequence when we create a new project. I try to solve my complex by the Autosol in phenix with proteins sequence. My complex contains 2 molecule A and 3 molecule B. How can I give the sequence in phenix? will it should be:

This is perhaps a little confusing - we use sequence files in several different ways, not all consistent. I'd go with the second version (each copy separately listed), because that is what will be most useful for AutoSol since it explicitly specifies the composition of the complex. -Nat
Hi Lisa, Right now either way you give it to phenix.autosol it will be interpreted as (A,B) with ncs_copies of (A,B), and ncs_copies specified separately by you or guessed by the software. I think I will change it however so that if you put in n copies of sequence A and m copies of sequence B, it will think it is (nA,mB) and calculate solvent content accordingly.
